May is a busy, exciting month for peak bird migration in High Park. In spring some 50 species of birds arrive to breed here while many others make an important stop-over on their journey to other breeding grounds.
Prime viewing locations in the park include the eastern shore and hills of Grenadier Pond, Spring Creek Ravine and all wetlands. As a reminder to birders and photographers, please stay on the main trails and refrain from disturbing the birds and their habitats.

A Celebration of Birds
On May 13th Nature Canada celebrates World Migratory Bird Day to encourage bird conservation and increase awareness of birds. The theme this year is Water: Sustaining Bird Life.
